Generally speaking month from May to October is consider as the best time to visit Tibet. This is the time when we have clear sky and warmer days and night. It is possible and easier to visiting Mount Kailash region is which rarely visited in the winter time.  

Tibet is located behind the Himalayas and on the world highest plateau known as Qinghai-Tibet Plateau with average elevation of 4500 meters above sea level. Which gives its unique weather thought out the year. Beside  above conditions, you will find absolute pleasant wether in most traveled areas in Tibet like Lhasa and Shigatse.

Spring (feb to April)

Spring is usually a coldest month in Tibet. As for people residing here. It is the time, when we actually get humidity from Sub-continent and it is a usual time for snowfall in Tibet. Other wise, early months in winter is usually dry and extremely cold in night. 

Since Tibet tourism bureau officially starts to issue permit from 1st April. Spring is the time for blossom for professional working to host international travelers to Tibet in the new year. Yet it is not a good idea to go higher into Mount kailash regions and all the trekking in early April for possibility of snows fall during your trek around kailash. 

Spring is also known for peach blossom festivals in Lingzhi ((Nyingchi) regions in eastern Tibet. During this festival the cost of traveling to Tibet usually goes up specially in Lhasa and the Nyingchi region. Beside this festival. Spring is a very pleasant time for normal Tibet tours

Summer (April to June) 

Summer is the most pleasant time to visit Tibet. It is ideal time for all the trekking in Tibet including the popular Gyama valley trekking tour and Kailash Kora. 

The forth month of Tibetan calendar is known as saga dawa. It is a month long religious festival in Tibet, which commemorate the life of lord Buddha the Sakyamuni. Kailash is a very popular destination with the festival, additionally it is a popular time for Indian Pilgrims to visit Kailash for Yatra. So it is highly recommend to book you tour with experienced travel agency like us. Otherwise it is hard to get the accommodations along the journey.

Rainy Season ( June to early October)

Its usually rains during the night in Tibet, and amount of rain is very less as compare with other side of Himalaya. But during this season you must keep in the mind, the visibility of mountains of very minimal and there would high chances of not seeing the mount Kailash or Everest at all after spending so much for visiting its basecamp. You are highly recommend to keep this possibility in mind when planing tour to Tibet.

But it is a good time to Visit Tibet at the end of rainy season, specially during the time of yoghurt festival and Ongkor festival.

Autumn Season ( Mid October to November)

The season of october is very short and it marks the beginning of long winter months. But it is an ideal time to visit for relative mild weather and clear sky with good view of landscapes.

This season also marks the end of tourism in Kailash Region and it is advice finishing your Kailash visit as early as possible.

Winter Season ( November to Feb)

Opposite to popular believe, It is best to visit Tibet in winter if you are looking for less crowd and more traditional environment in Tibet. It is not as cold as many cities like Beijing. Additional with clear sky and more traditional environment, traveling to Tibet in Winter is very economical as there is huge price discount to majority of component of your guided tour.
