Advanced Everest Base Camp Trekking Tour is one of the popular tour packages. To ensure adjustment to the altitude, we start out in Lhasa with visits to major attraction sights in Lhasa on the first couple of days – including the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Norbulingka Palace, Sera Monastery and Drepung Monastery. We will then travel overland and head out southwest. We will transit some of the marvellous landscapes and stop at stunning attractions. For example, the Yamdrok Lake, the Karo La glacier, and the Pelkhor Chode Monastery in Gyantse. Next, we will go to Shigatse, Tibet’s second-largest city and also home to the largest Buddhist monastery of Tashi Lhunpo.
After Shigatse, we then will travel to Lotingri, from where the actual trek to the Advanced Everest Base Camp begins. Throughout the entire journey, we will cross over several 5000+ meter high mountain passes and witness most amazing views of some of the tallest peaks under the sun, including the majestic Mount Everest, Cho Oyu, Makalu, Shisapangma and many other peaks.

In the Everest Region (Shelkar, Everest Base Camp), accommodation will be very basic, as these areas are very remote and poor. Guesthouses often have no heating facilities, but plenty of blankets upon request. Toilets are usually outside and are not always as hygienic. Showers are often unavailable or only available at the local shower house.
Eligibility:
Participants must be in good health and physically fit to be able to walk around towns, villages, and monasteries. Most of this tour will take place in mountainous terrain between 3600 meters and 5200 meters (11,800 feet to 17,000 feet) above sea level. The 5-day trek to Advanced Everest Base Camp is beautiful but is very demanding as the high pass rises to elevations 6000 meters. You will spend 3 nights in Lhasa for altitude acclimatization before going above 3600 meters, with a couple of extra days for acclimatization in the Everest region. Ascent will be slow and gradual along the way from Lhasa to Everest Base Camp and on to Advanced Everest Base Camp.
