6 Days Lhasa – Shigatse Group Tour

Lhasa-Shigatse group tour will start out with sightseeing tours in and around Lhasa, the capital city of Tibet; we will have opportunities to visit the Potala Palace, the Jokhang Temple, and Drepung and Sera monasteries. We will then travel overland through charming landscapes far and beyond the Lhasa valley. For example, the Yamdrok lake and the Karo La Glacier, outside Lhasa valley, will take your breath away. Besides, the Pelkhor Chode Monastery and the Kubum Chorten in Gyantse are two must-see sights on our way to the final destination, Shigatse, which is the capital seat of Tsang province of Tibet and home to the largest Buddhist monastery of Tashi Lhunpo in the said province.

In Addition, You will be able to experience an up-close for the traditional lifestyle of the Local Tibetans.

We will arrange for your visit to a typical farmers’ village or a nomad tent, and ensure that you have plenty of time at your own disposal to see and feel what it is like to be eating in local Tibetan restaurants and have an afternoon or morning tea in local tea-shops. A visit to Tibetan traditional handicraft centre will be also arranged during the tour to see and learn the extraordinary array of authentic Tibetan traditional and contemporary works of crafts and arts.

The package journey from Lhasa to Shigatse can be done anytime from mid-April through to late October. We can arrange this journey for groups of two to ten people. Eligibility:

You must be in good health and physically fit to be able to do foot journeys around the Lhasa town, villages and monasteries with your own equipment. Though you will be doing a lot of walking each day, no extensive trekking is required.
