Lhasa-Everest Base Camp-Namtso Lake Tour is designed to provide an amazing travel experience. You will begin this 9-day with tours around Lhasa, the capital city of Tibet, exploring major attractions such as the Potala Palace, the Jokhang Temple, Sera Monastery, and Drepung Monastery. This part of the trip is to ensure gradual acclimatization to the altitude in the subsequent legs of the upcoming trip.
The extended trip, following exploration in Lhasa, will include overland travel through some of the marvellous landscapes and visits to some of the key stunning sites in the southwest and central Tibet. For example, Yamdrok Lake, the Karo La Glacier, and the Pelkhor Chode Monastery in Gyantse, which is one of the oldest towns in central Tibet. Next, you will go to Shigatse, Tibet’s second-largest city and home to the largest Buddhist monastery of Tashi Lhunpo. After Shigatse, the tour trajectory will take you to the Everest Basecamp transiting through Gyatso La pass, which offers a sweeping view of the world’s highest mountain range. You will then travel on and visit Namtso Lake, or Heavenly Lake, as otherwise known, which is the largest lake in Tibet.
