There are few different kinds of permits requirements as per your tour destinations in Tibet. Namely, Aliens permit Border permit and Military permit. We will take care of all of it as per your plan.
Nepal and Other cities in China are the two main gateways to reach Tibet. So you can either choose Nepal or cities like Chengdu to transit to Lhasa. The permit and VISA situation differ in both cases.
It is highly recommended and easier to visit Tibet via other cities of China. Getting Visa is much easier. You can apply it directly at the Chinese Embassy or consulate in your home city. There may ask for plane tickets and other related booking paper with the applications. We can arrange it all.
There is more travel option from other cities in China. You can choose to take a train, flight or travel overland to Tibet.
Nepal is the only international destination to visit Tibet, and it most prefers its proximity with Tibet.
Yet, You will have to get the Chinese Group Visa from the Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu. Then, it takes a visa invitation from the Tibet tourism bureau ( we will arrange it) and three business days in Nepal for its processing time.
You can take a flight to Lhasa or travel overland via the Sino-Nepal border at Gyirong.
